Our custom made bookcases are built utilizing proven traditional woodworking practices such as mortise and tenon joinery to ensure they will last for years, and can be passed down for future generations to enjoy. There are too many details on this bookcase to list, but if you look closely at the photo gallery, you will find all the love, heart, and soul that we put into this piece; it’s truly a labor of love. The large bookcase comes with eight (8) bookends, and the small bookcase has six (6), each having an inlaid Holly and Walnut Fan on one side. Our bookcase is made from Hard Maple, Walnut, with Holly and Walnut inlays on the bookends. However, we can make your dream bookcase from from your favorite hardwoods, too. Just let us know and we will be happy to design and build your custom made bookcase. The finish is an oil-varnish blend with wax, producing a satin sheen to give a warm, silk like feel, inviting to the touch.
